First `install Python `_. You need *Python* 2.6 or later, but not *Python* 3. 2. In the Linux console, or the Windows command line (you will need administrator privileges): :: ~$ cd Chips-2.0 ~$ python setup.py install Icarus Verilog ============== Chips can automatically simulate the verilog it generates, to simulate verilog you will need the `Icarus Verilog `_ simulator. This will need to be installed in your command path.
